3000th Stake!

The Freetown Stake Presidency is Pres. Swarray, Pres. Charles and Pres. Minna with Elder Holland.  The 3000th Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was created this morning.  We had almost a 1000 in the congregation.  This is the first stake in Sierra Leone!

Congratulations to the saints of Sierra Leone for becoming the 3000th stake in the Church! We salute you and send our special greetings to our dear friends, Pres. and Sis. Roggia with whom we served many years in the Army chaplaincy. You couldn't have better leaders than them!

My son Elder Bryce Rogers was one of the first 18 Elders called to serve in the Sierra Leone Freetown mission. There are no words to describe what this picture means to all of us! There are tears of great JOY! Thank you so very much for posting. Our love to all the saints and missionaries serving in Sierra Leone. Our hearts are always with you!
